Working with Images

Image fields let you add photographs to your product. This page explains how to upload and place images, how to replace them, and the options available for adjusting them once in place.

Uploading and placing an image

Your design includes one or more image placeholders on the canvas, each shown as a shaded area with a "Drag image here" prompt. There are two ways to add your photograph:

  • Via the Images panel – click the placeholder to select it, then click Images in the left-hand panel. Use Add Files to upload a photo from your device, or drag it directly into the gallery. Once your image appears in the gallery, drag it onto the placeholder.
  • By double-clicking – double-click the image placeholder directly to go straight to the upload option.

Always use the highest resolution image available. A clear, well-lit photograph will always give the best result in print.

Replacing an image

To swap an image you've already placed, upload your new photo to the gallery and drag it over the existing image on the canvas. It will replace the previous one automatically.

Your image gallery and albums

There are two ways to get your images ready for your product. You can upload them directly as you build your design in the editor, or upload them in advance through Album Management in My Account, useful if you'd like to prepare all your photos before you start your order.

Any image you upload during the design process is automatically saved to your album, so it's there for you to reuse if needed.

Adjusting your image

Click a placed image to open the Image Options panel:

  • Scale – use the slider to resize the image within its field
  • Transform – rotate or flip your image if needed
  • Arrange – control layering if your image overlaps with other elements
  • Manage – replace, duplicate, or delete the image field

A note on image quality

Photographs taken on a modern smartphone are generally suitable for print, provided they haven't been heavily compressed or resized. Avoid screenshots or images copied from websites, as these are rarely high enough resolution and may appear blurry or pixelated in the finished product.

Accepted file formats are JPG/JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and PDF. The maximum file size is 10MB per upload. Please note: TIFF files saved with transparency will fail to upload.
