Artwork Validations & Fixes
We want to ensure your print is successful. Once uploaded, your artwork will go through a validation and correction process.
Here are the key checks and fixes that we apply.
File Validation
Your upload will fail if:
❌ The file type is incorrect
❌ The file is corrupt
❌ The file is password-protected
❌ The file size or page count does not match expectations
❌ The file has the wrong orientation
Bleed & Margins
✅ We will check for bleed and fix it if necessary by expanding or mirroring the artwork.
Fonts
✅ If fonts are unembedded, we will attempt to fix them by using available system fonts.
Colour Adjustments
We will automatically convert colours as needed:
✅ PANTONE to CMYK
✅ LAB to CMYK
✅ RGB to CMYK
✅ Spot colors to CMYK
✅ Fix white knockouts
✅ Correct rich blacks
Image Resolution
Images will be optimised for best print quality.
✅ Any image above 325dpi will be downsampled to 300dpi
⚠️ A warning will be issued if any image is below 225dpi
