Covers - Cover Type

For booklets, you can customize the cover to match your needs.

  • Self Cover - Uses the same paper for the cover and inner pages
Envelopes

You can optionally add white invitation-style gummed envelopes to your order.
⚠️ Envelopes are provided separately – your product will not be placed inside them.

Folds - Fold Option, Fold Type

We offer three professional folding options to suit different presentation styles:

Half Fold (Bi-Fold)

What it is: A single fold down the centre, creating two equal panels.

Appearance: Resembles a booklet or a greeting card.

Best for: Brochures, invitations, and menus where a simple, elegant layout is needed.

Roll Fold

What it is: The paper folds inward multiple times, with each panel rolling in on itself. The panels are slightly narrower to ensure a smooth fold.

Appearance: Compact when folded, opening up into multiple sections.

Best for: Informational leaflets, travel brochures, and step-by-step guides.

Z Fold (Accordion Fold)

What it is: A zig-zag style fold where each panel alternates in direction.

Appearance: Unfolds like a "Z," with equal-sized panels.

Best for: Marketing materials, maps, and infographics where sections need to be revealed progressively.

Lamination - Lamination Type

Lamination is a protective coating that enhances the look and feel of printed materials. It not only improves durability but also gives your prints a distinct appearance. You can choose from the following lamination types

Gloss Lamination

What it is: A shiny, reflective finish that makes colours pop and images stand out.

✅ Benefits:

  • Enhances colours, making them more vibrant and eye-catching.
  • Smooth, glossy surface grabs attention.
  • Easy to wipe clean—resistant to fingerprints and smudges.

Matt Lamination

What it is: A smooth, non-glossy finish that gives a sophisticated and understated look.

✅ Benefits:

  • Creates a soft, premium feel.
  • Reduces glare, making text easier to read.
  • Resists fingerprints better than gloss.

Soft Touch Lamination

What it is: A velvety, non-reflective finish that adds a unique tactile experience.

✅ Benefits:

  • Feels smooth and luxurious to the touch.
  • Enhances the perception of quality and exclusivity.
  • Provides a memorable, premium impression.

Paper - Paper Type, Material

The type of paper chosen affects how the final product looks and feels. Here are the three main types of paper used:

Uncoated Paper

  • What it is: Uncoated paper has a smooth, non-reflective surface. It doesn’t have a shiny coating, which makes it easier to read and write on.

  • Feel: Has a softer, velvety texture compared to other papers.

✅ Why choose it?

  • Gives a professional and modern appearance

  • Doesn’t produce glare, making it easy to read

  • Easy to write on without smudging

❌ Points to consider

  • Colours may look dull compared to gloss or silk

  • Not as durable as coated paper (easier to tear or crease)

  • Can feel less premium for some designs

Silk Paper

  • What it is: Silk paper is a middle ground between uncoated and gloss. It has a smooth, soft finish with a slight sheen but without the high reflectiveness of gloss.

  • Feel: Smooth to the touch, often described as silky.

✅ Why choose it?

  • Offers a premium, sophisticated feel

  • Reduces glare while still enhancing colours

  • Durable and resistant to fingerprints

❌ Points to consider

  • Not as vibrant as full gloss paper

  • Harder to write on than uncoated

Gloss Paper

  • What it is: Gloss paper has a shiny, reflective coating that enhances colours and images. It makes printed designs look more vibrant and eye-catching.

  • Feel: Very smooth and polished.

✅ Why choose it?

  • Brings out rich colours and sharp details

  • Feels smooth and high-quality

  • Ideal for marketing materials that need to stand out

❌ Points to consider

  • Can produce glare, making text harder to read in bright light

  • Difficult to write on (ink may smudge)

  • More prone to fingerprints and smudges

Each paper type has its strengths and weaknesses, so the best choice depends on how you want your printed product to look and feel!

Paper - Paper Weight

Paper Weight

  • Refers to the thickness and sturdiness of the paper.

  • A higher weight means a thicker, more durable feel.

  • Different paper weights are suitable for different products, such as flyers, business cards, posters, or booklets.

GSM (Grams per Square Metre)

  • GSM indicates how much a 1-square-metre sheet of paper weighs in grams, helping determine its thickness and usage.

  • Examples:

    • 100gsm – Lightweight paper (standard office printer paper).

    • 200gsm – Medium-thickness stock (ideal for flyers and posters).

    • 350gsm – Heavy card stock (used for business cards and covers).

Choosing the Right Weight

  • Purpose Matters: Think about how the paper will be used. Will it be folded, written on, handled frequently or kept for a long time?

  • Consider Feel: Thicker paper feels more premium but might not work well for folding or binding processes.

Number of Pages
  • Refers to the total pages in booklets

  • Always in multiples of 4 (e.g., 4pp, 8pp, 12pp, etc.).

Printed Sides
  • Single-sided: Print only on the front.

  • Double-sided: Print on both front and back.

Size - Finished Size, Unfolded Size
  • Finished Size: The final dimensions of the product after all finishing processes, such as folding or binding (e.g., an A5 booklet is A5 in size).

  • Unfolded Size: The dimensions of the product before any folding occurs (e.g., an A5 folded booklet starts as an A4 sheet before being folded).
